Welcome to the Lambton Security Institute (LSI) Training Academy portfolio of products and services. As the training arm of the LSI, we provide a range of learning and development solutions tailored to the needs of the security sector and wider stakeholders.
The portfolio focuses on the core disciplines of Police Sciences, Leadership, and Investigation. We provide a partnership approach with clients to ensure that capability building including training is tailored to their specific requirements to improve both institutional and individual capability.
Our Approach
Our initial response to an enquiry is to assess the training or developmental requirement and agree programmes that are transparent, and provide best value.
We use trainers, subject matter experts and academics who have a deep and relevant knowledge in their areas of expertise. Our people have many years’ experience across policing and security sectors, ranging from frontline to senior command and executive levels. Importantly, the team’s core skills in design, delivery and quality assurance ensure a cycle of continual improvement for all of our police and security learning programmes.
We engage across the wider security sector to form strategic relationships with other institutions to remain at the cutting edge of developments, in which risk, challenges, and a willingness to adapt to meet those issues are critical to success.

Adaptive Leadership Programme
Our modular adaptive leadership development programme explores the systems of leadership in the relevant security sectors.
Investigation
Our Investigation modules expand the knowledge and skills of individuals who are already experienced investigators to perform the role of a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO). Our modules provides the learner with SIO skills, and more complex CSI, fingerprint and traffic investigation skills ranging from foundation to advanced and specialist levels.

Policing and security sectors continue to adapt to the increasing digitisation of society on a global scale. The disruption of previously stable industries and organisations from increased digitisation and the use of AI is increasing in pace, offering new opportunities and challenges. Our digital capability training brings together research and development, academia and subject matter experts to deliver an adaptive learning system.
